Our vision is to create freelance employment opportunities for formerly incarcerated artists and support their professional development growth and entrepreneurial skills, and offer a platform for artistic expression and an opportunity for recognition.

A first step in reaching our goal is the launch of a Kickstarter Fundraising Campaign, a pilot project that features artist inspired tote bags and merchandise designed in collaboration with three artists. With the success of the Kickstarter, we will continue to work with these and other artists. Click the link below to help support us and reach our Kickstarter Goal.

Anna Ruiz

  • While incarcerated I had the opportunity to define exactly what I wanted my artistic expression to look like. With access to minimal supplies I was able to produce works that I could stamp my own style. My upbringing in Watts, California has influenced the type of work I've produced. While residing there I experienced the weathering of human beings living in impoverished settings and how those circumstances can shape the outlook on life. After serving a 14 year term at C.C.W.F. I have come home with an adjusted pair of eyes that focus on the essence of being a microcosm on Earth. My art emphasizes not on our circumstances, but the experiences that we share as humans.

Summer Pichon

  • There are so many layers to the person you know as Summer. Life wasn’t always simple, at times I’ve felt very out of place and had no clue as to what my purpose could possibly be. Maybe having a mother who abandoned me for most of my life due to her drug addiction played a part or maybe it could have been spending some time in foster homes until my modern day superman came along (my dad) to give me a home. Who knows but what I do know is that I’ve never let the odds or the bad times keep me down. I’ve always strived to understand and be the best version of me that I could possibly be. Today I stand in solidarity with those who don't seek comfort with things remaining as they are but with those who stand for absolute equality, peace and love for all change starts from within. #BringUsHome
